- The Backdrop
-
An extra-wide statement headboard that extends far beyond the width of the mattress to frame the entire sleeping
- Textural Contrast:
It features a striking contrast between smooth, solid-slab center grain wood and flanking side panels made of vertical fluted slates
.
- Cantilevered Design:
Two minimalist bedside boxes are seamlessly integrated directly onto the slatted sections of the headboard, suspended completely off the floor
- Clean Geometry:
The sharp, blocky angles of the floating nightstands mirror the heavy proportions of the bed base.
- Low-Slung Aesthetic:
A deep, low-profile perimeter frame creates a grounded, modern silhouette.
- Recessed Mattress Pocket:
The mattress sits deeply inset within the outer wooden rails, hiding the box spring/slats and emphasizing a clean, tucked-in appearance.
- Shadow-Base Footing:
The heavy upper platform rests on recessed foundation plinths underneath, giving the illusion that the massive wooden frame is floating slightly above the floor.
- Organic Luxury:
Crafted from rich, character-grade hardwood (such as Walnut, Teak, or Teak-stained Oak, beechwood) featuring prominent, continuous wood grain patterns.
Matte Finish:
-
A satin or matte protective seal preserves the raw, earthy texture of the lumber without a high-gloss, artificial shine.
